Spring pine - this uplighting and refreshing seasonal ally is packed full of vitamin C which is so great for helping your skin generate collagen and to brighten dull skin. Pine also has a mild astringent for tightening pores, anti-inflammatory for helping with redness and lymphatic support to reduce puffiness. AND not just great for your skin, pine is a wonderful respiratory support and helps to clear stagnation in breathing channels.
I have distilled pine needles a few times over the years and the scent was always very subtle and not what I was looking to capture or offer. This year I was called to work with the pine tips in an effort to capture more of that pine scent. While this isn't totally pine-y in it's smell, it does carry the pine as an undertone, but the lead notes are bright and citrusy. Very Spring-y, indeed!
These hydrosols are hand crafted in small batches by distilling fresh raw plant matter in a copper still. A magical alchemical process occurs producing gorgeously scented aromatic waters that carry the special properties of the plants. The plants were either grown by seed or ethically wildcrafted in the Catskills - by me, for you :)
Aromatherapy is an ancient powerful healing modality often overlooked in our modern world. There are countless ways these hydrosols can support us! I use them as part of my skin care ritual and am reaching for them all day long for an instant shift and return to myself.
